I had a bride once who LOVED rice krispie treats and I'm kicking myself that I didn't do/think of this for her! These were super easy to do- I simply made a batch of the marshmallow/cereal goodness in a 9"x13" pan and used some cookie cutters (roughly 3", 2" and 1") to cut out the different layers. The Jackson five helped me out with explaining the simple assembly process below.
I love the idea of these for a more rustic bridal shower (since they are more organic in shape), but these could be used for anyone who has an affinity for these treats! The charm to me is that you can tell they are homemade- with lots of love :) I always thought the home made ones were better than those prepackaged treats in shiny blue packaging-- anyone with me on that?
To fancy these up, you could package them in a clear treat box with some nice ribbon, or even add some decoration to the cake in the way of piping icing, sugar pearls, or other edible accents. I was keen on this idea, but when I went to try, they were all gone! Needless to say, never take your eyes off of these treats- people snatch them up fast! I was able to make (7) 3 tiered cakes out of one batch, so be sure to make enough for everyone, and don't forget yourself :)
Krispie treat fan? Or serving another type of treat in a wedding shape?
