Monogrammed Champagne

via source

Everyone knows champagne is a huge part of any celebration (especially weddings!)  You must have seen custom wine bottles and/or labels, so why not give the bubbly some personalization as well?  Whether it be a striking Gatsby-esque centerpiece like the image above, or mini bottles that double as your guests' escort cards, everyone is ensured to love this detail.  Plus, if your venue lets you bring in your own alcohol, this could become a DIY that wouldn't hurt the budget too much!  After all, why stop at monogrammed champagne flutes when you can monogram the whole bottle?

Plus any left overs can easily be used consumed at home-- be sure to save one for that 1st anniversary!

Composite Bouquets

via source

Also called a glamelia (or malmaison rose), these hand accessories are something you definitely do NOT see everyday
(and that's why I love them so much!)
They first debuted about 70 years ago as a way to make a single flower look more lush (like a camellia!) but have been making a comeback with Vintage brides.  Kathering Heigl even carried one at her wedding!
Florists arrange these bouquets petal by petal- wiring it all by hand to create a giant, one of a kind bloom.
Although mostly done with roses, I love seeing the newest creations with different floral types. as well as shapes and colors.
Clearly they make a striking statement-- your own fantastical bouquet!
Scared about wilting (at the cost of one)?  Add some more petals to my crepe flower DIY and you're good to go!

Something Blue: Superman

via source

My older brother (and almost older sister) both found out they passed the bar yesterday WAHOO!  This result coincided perfectly for today's something blue post: my brother's favorite superhero (and alter ego) growing up was Superman!  Whether you (or your partner!) is a superhero fan, show their spidey, captain america, or wonder woman in small, remarkable "something blue" detail that will be special to you and makes your event even more custom.  Just like Clark Kent, the true identity can be revealed under your/his attire (or under his pants like above!)

If you go crazy, I promise to still call you superman!

Monogrammed Tattoos

via source

Monogrammed tattoos have become increasingly popular over the past few years, especially ring tattoos!  Help made famous by some celebrities (below see Duck Dynasty's Willie & Kori's ink), it's a  great idea for those who have to remove their jewelry often but still want a representation of their mate/union (and aren't afraid of needles!).  But fear not-- the left ring finger isn't the only place to display your new initials!  Find inspiration below to fulfill your curiosity (or to inspire new ink!).

Not into the flashy visual but love tattoos still?  How about a white ink design (like the one below)?

And for those not brave enough to go under the needle, below is a picture of wedding monogram temporary tattoos.  That way you could get your guests in on the ink too!

Fab Pic Friday

via source

A silhouette, sunset AND an amazing veil picture?  You know I'm in!
I just love the juxtaposition of the dark silhouette outline with the whimsical-ness of the veil! LE SIGH If only everyday could be as magical as this picture-- TGIF everyone!

Fruit Letter Drink Accents

SO if you haven't heard from your favorite weatherman (hi Al Roker!), South Florida is getting poured on.  I blame myself after claiming Saturday was "the most gorgeous sunny day we have had in a while" and now I'm thinking you can describe outside as 50 shades of gray.  Combine that with the incoming fall season and I knew I'd like some warm apple cider.  Having a ton of fruit left over from the holiday this past weekend, I grabbed some alphabet letters to personalize my cinnamon stick and love how it turned out!  Sometimes DIYs can be the simplest of things that make an impact and with wedding season starting, I'll be sharing more of these easy tricks.

PS- Did I mention the weather was bad?  No natural light= not my greatest photos.  My apologies in advance.

^^I used toothpicks to balance the letter in the cinnamon stick and it worked out perfectly.  When I realized how much fruit we had left over, I instantly thought of my favorite drink (sangria!) and thought this would be a perfect addition since they are made out of fruit.  You can also use meaningful number (I'm partial to 23) to represent an anniversary, the new year, or as a nod to an athlete you are celebrating!

Sometimes it's the simple things-- after all, it's all in the details!

Something Blue: Santorini's Domes

via source

Just as summer is over the travel bug is biting!  There's few places (if any) that are more romantic than Santorini, one of the Greek Islands.  It's blue topped domes are notorious and would be the perfect "something blue" for a destination bride!  It's breathtaking cliffside is out of this world and literally feels like you have stepped back in time.  And don't even get me started on the sunsets!  Need some more convincing?  Check out the images below for some beautiful weddings in this magical place!

Monogram Piñatas

via source

When I was little, I loved to make paper mâché balloon piñatas, so I'm not surprised at my inclination to these monogram ones!  The fringe is so festive and can really be dressed up or down depending on material, color and size.  They don't look too tough to try out either (Here's a how to for the piñata above) so I would definitely DIY if you love this idea!  Customized to your event, these initials will be a show stopper-- whether you have candy fall out of them or not!

What would you stuff in your monogrammed piñata?
(mine for the record-- lots of sour gummies and some blow pops-- no chocolate please!)
