Monday Musings: My Camera

A big hobby of mine is photography.  While I'm still continuously learning, about 2 years ago I started bringing my camera along to various wedding meetings with my brides to capture moments during wedding planning.  While I always leave it to the real professionals on the big day, it's always fun to have extra pictures of the whole process to remember that special time in your life!

^^Intricate details on a bride's Monique Lhuillier dress during a fitting^^

^^She found it!  Calling mom to share the good news^^

^^The bride trying on her special gown (at home!) for the 1st time since she bought it!^^

Also, it's a great way to get the couple warmed up for the pros too!  While many refer to the engagement session to tackle this, why not get them more comfortable prior?  Whenever the lighting's great and the scenery is beautiful, I can't help but to stop the couple and ask them to share some small talk for a few minutes while I snap some shots.  I love capturing intimate moments like these below.

Again, I am by no means a professional, but my brides always love these pictures-- whether it be their face when they found that special dress or a moment on the side with their groom- to me, there is no such thing as too many pictures!  What do you think-- are you documenting your engagement/wedding planning too?
